Purpose of this Site
You are welcome to introduce yourself, ask questions or provide information. Comments will be answered, and next steps suggested.
This site is created to provide a resource for persons looking for connections to the families named in the blog. All the families emigrated from Norway between 1845 and 1855, settling in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and North and South Dakota. The Orvedahls left Vik i Sogn and settled in Moody County, South Dakota. The Norvolds originated in Skedsmo, Akershus and Knud Knudsen Steen was raised in Stein i Hole, Buskerud. Both settled near Jasper, Minnesota.
